The Role:

To create and develop accurate product costings for both standard and actual and to complete departmental reports to deadline.

General Duties

* Ensuring financial reporting objectives are met within deadlines, without compromising quality or control of costs.

* Ensuring good housekeeping is maintained – particularly where accounting systems are concerned.

* Ensuring that Quality, H&S and other Company policies are adhered to and liaising with relevant departments to ensure issues are resolved

* Maintaining good employee relations and promoting equality of opportunity

Key duties:

* Assist the Financial Controller in any aspects of the Accounts function

* Assist in the preparation of forecasts and budgets

* Implement and preparing various Operational/Commercial KPI’s and discuss these with the Management Team

* Prepare and update Standard Costings for both sites

* Control monthly stock take, ensuring procedures and cut off are adhered to and perform stock reconciliations

* Assist in the implementation of various IT systems

Specific Finance Duties

* Create and develop accurate standard and actual costing for all products on site.

* Spend time with relevant staff (commercial manager, factory manager etc) and spend time on factory floor to gain understanding of processes and costs in order to develop accurate costings.

* Continually update costings through regular review and when new information or knowledge becomes available.

* To capture relevant data on an ongoing basis in order to produce accurate costings.

* Collate and interpret production volume and labour cost data by department.

* Development and completion of weekly Gross Profit by product report

* Monthly update of expenses/overhead figures in weekly reporting template

* Development of weekly reporting for haulage and packaging.

* Completion of weekly dashboard

* Completion of monthly sales report

* Control and audit the monthly stock taken at either site on a rolling basis

* Prepare various Stock reconciliations based on standard usage

* Implement various cost saving initiatives in accordance with other departments

* Review, update and audit company procedures

* To produce ad-hoc reports as requested.

Health and Safety Duties

* Maintaining H&S and hygiene standards in accordance with Company rules and regulations

* Ensuring that all staff and visitors in the department wear appropriate PPE at all times

Other Duties

* Carrying out other associated duties
