Accounts Assistant

Description

Broadly speaking, you will provide the daily financial administrative support the business needs to fulfil their ambitious plans for growth. More specifically, Your duties would include:

• Sales and purchase ledger processing
• Customer reporting
• Credit control
• Bank and customer account reconciliations
• Nominal ledger journals
• VAT returns
• Assisting with the end of year process.

You will also provide regular management information reports, giving the team the detailed information they need to make important strategic decisions whilst supporting the rest of the team on internal projects to ensure timely delivery.

You will report directly to the Finance Director but receive regular support from the company's external accountants ensuring your skills develop and your responsibilities increase over time.

Profile

Ideally we are looking for someone nearly or fully AAT qualified with a good grounding in transactional accounting.

Vitally, you must be a driven, bright spark who is a great culture fit with the rest of the team, and who wants to grow with the company. There will be loads of opportunities for development, taking on more and more work from the FD and external accountants as your skills and experience increase. The business are also willing to offer study support in the future to further this development.

Job Offer

This role will pay £20-23k initially, with the likelihood of incremental increases as the role grows
