Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the team to process fixed assets additions, disposals, transfers and IFRS16 leases related transactions, and ensure that these are processed on a timely basis in the automated system - PeopleSoft Asset Management, PeopleSoft IFRS 16 system and PeopleSoft General Ledger. This covers a group of entities and international centres.
  • Ensures compliance with the relevant accounting standards and the Group's internal policies and procedures.
  • Perform monthly reconciliation and balance sheet substantiation process to comply with control processes.
  • Prepare reports and schedules (month-end/quarter-end/year-end) for Group and Financial reporting purposes.
  • Liaise & follow up with internal and external parties/ stakeholders for transactions, requests and queries that require additional information/clarification in relation to fixed asset and IFRS 16 leases processing. Follow up to ensure all discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner
  • Process transactions using Peoplesoft Asset Management system and PeopleSoft IFRS 16 system with turnaround time within the laid down service level.
  • Provide administrative support to the team as well as be involved in other assigned projects / tasks.( E.g. system testing)

Requirements

Non-technical Experience

  • Team player, highly motivated and self-driven with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Possess a keen learning attitude
  • Enjoy working in a fast-paced processing environment
  • Accurate and sharp in identifying issues in fixed assets and IFRS16 processing
  • Be proactive in identifying and addressing fixed assets processing related issues and escalate them for resolution by supervisor where required


Technical Experience
  • Working knowledge of fixed assets management system such as SAP, Peoplesoft etc
  • Working knowledge in reconciliation and investigation of variances
  • Sound knowledge of Accounting Standards and IFRS
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, such as Word, Excel, Power point, Qlikview etc.
