Page Personnel Finance are recruiting for a Deputy Payments Manager to join our client, a leading retail art business in London's West End.

Our client is a leading retail art business located in London's West End, a short walk from Oxford Circus. Due to expansion across their international business, an opportunity has arisen for a Deputy Payments Manager to join their accountancy team.

Description

Located in London's West End, our client is looking for a Deputy Payments Manager with responsibility for the following duties;

To work effectively as part of the UK Payments Team, and supporting UK Payments Manager in ensuring efficient and accurate payments to Suppliers, Employees and Clients for UK, Switzerland and other European offices as required.


Responsibilities include:

Ensure the effective settlement of all payment runs:
Day-to-day supervision of the Payments Teams;
Manage the authorising of payments ensuring that they are in line with Corporate Governance, Compliance and Anti-money laundering polices;
Manage and oversee foreign currency settlements and forward traded deals;
Assist the Payments Teams with non-standard billing and manual client outputs;
Promptly resolve any escalated internal and external enquiries and complaints;

Reporting:
Produce monthly analysis and statistical reporting for review such as aged creditors, debit balances, ticket/cash advances, key performance indicators and transactional metrics;
Ensure that audit and compliance measures are adhered to;
Ad-hoc reporting for Finance, Treasury Management and other Business Groups as required;

Assist the Payments Manager with:
Recruitment and training new recruits to the Payments Team;
Scheduling and allocating work for the Payments Teams ensure adequate cover around sales settlement peaks during busy periods;
Management of 3rd party supplier relationships;
Operational processes review for internal control and accuracy;
Managing all aspect of employee expense reimbursement through Concur T&E system, including review and approval of claims, and lists maintenance;
Ad hoc projects as requested by management.

Profile

The successul candidate:

  • Previous experience managing/supervising a small team ideally within an Accounts Payable function;
  • Working knowledge of various clearing systems: ACH, BACS, CHAPS, SWIFT, SEPA, Faster Payments;
  • Experience of international payments processing and foreign currency dealing;
  • Previous experience of working with SAP.

Job Offer

Salary of up to £35,000
