Your new employer
An immediate requirement has risen for a Commercial Accountant to support a large manufacturing business on the Fylde Coast. This initially requirement is to cover staff absence for a minimum of 6 months although there is a genuine potential of a longer term or permanent requirement given a number of upcoming projects including an ERP system implementation.
The organisation trade internationally and are regarded as market leaders in their field, and boast impressive staff retention levels which is achieved through offering diverse roles and development opportunities.
Your role in your new job
With sufficient levels of guidance and support, you will prepare and run various reports including monthly sales reports; margin reports; and overhead reports, handling large volumes of data. You will provide ad hoc analysis on margins and manufacturing costs and support with budgeting and forecasting activities.
Your experience and our requirements
This position is an ideal opportunity for a part qualified or finalist looking to gain valuable exposure to complement their studies, or a QBE accountant seeking an interesting and varied role. Whilst relevant support will be provided, you will be able to work under your own initiative picking up new systems and processes quickly. Strong Excel systems are essential including pivot tables as you will be working with high volumes of data. You will have strong reconciliation skills and whilst not essential, exposure within the manufacturing sector is advantageous.

Whilst this position is being recruited on a contract basis initially, there is a good potential of a permanent requirement given the organisations plans for growth and upcoming projects. The role will add excellent value to your CV in the short term, gaining exposure to a complex manufacturing business structure.
