This is a newly created role for an Assistant Management Accountant to grow and develop as the business grows. You will be reporting directly into and providing support to the Head of Finance.

My client is a rapidly growing fitness brand based in the City of London. They were founded less than 10 years ago and have an ambitious growth plan following a very successful few years.
Description
As the Assistant Management Accountant you will be responsible for the following:
- The complete purchase ledger cycle; checking and coding invoices, entering them into Xero, making payments and supplier reconciliations
- Sales ledger; raising weekly sales invoices across the 4 revenue streams
- Bank reconciliations; matching payments to supplier invoices and matching sales receipts across all parts of the business
- Assisting with the month end process; closing ledgers and ensuring / checking accuracy of data, balance sheet reconciliations (prepayments/accruals/fixed assets)
- Assisting with the production of timely and accurate monthly management accounts (comprising full profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow) including variance reports and commentary
- Ad hoc projects as required
Profile
To be considered for this Assistant Management Accountant role you must have the following:
- Actively studying ACCA / CIMA / AAT (essential)
- Strong transactional accounting knowledge (essential)
- Exposure to month end accounting procedures (essential)
- Retail / consumer / online experience (preferred)
- Exposure to Xero (desirable)
