Job Role: The company is currently looking for a talented Financial Analyst to join their team in Cannock to help support the National Sales team by developing and utilising financial models to support in bid decisions. In addition to financial modelling, this role is unique as there will also be the opportunity to work on a variety of analysis projects, utilising a range of data sets and systems to provide insight to the business in order to drive change and make efficiencies in the business. You will produce analytical tools, reports and Key Performance Indicators that constantly improve the standards and service levels of our stakeholder's processes. You will work on high profile projects on multi-million pound contracts that will give you exposure to senior management. Innovating thinking is promoted and you will be given opportunities to present your ideas to the Business Performance Manager and other senior stakeholders which, if approved, would allow you to continue to work on your own project and demonstrate the impact of your ideas and analysis on the business. Key Requirements: Develop, generate and present reports to senior management, operations, technical and support teams and external clients. Proactively identify trends in data and make recommendations on operational improvements. Enhance operational performance and decision making through the analysis of operational data and KPI (Key Performance Indicator) reports. To not only create reports and KPIs but drive performance for National Sales. Understand the management systems and be able recommend changes in order to continuously improve the systems for the benefit of the operational employees and analytics. Be able to communicate technical solutions to non-technical people Knowledge, Skills & Qualifications: Degree level education in an accountancy / analytical / mathematics subject (or relevant experience). Experience building and using financial models. Must have a high level working knowledge of Excel including Pivots, sumifs, vlookups, VBA, complex embedded formulas etc. Understanding of financial ratios and how to apply them to financial modelling High problem solving ability. Strong communication and presentation skills. Ability to analyse complex datasets. Proactive and forward thinking. Report writing experience (PowerBI, Report Builder, Crystal Reports or similar) is an advantage. Please click the APPLY button to send your CV and Cover Letter for this role.
