Commercial Accountant
Join the Finance team as a Commercial Accountant and help make the world cleaner, safer and healthier.
This role is in the Food and Beverage division for UK and Ireland, reporting to the Divisional Controller. It is initially a 6-month contract and a full-time role, with an option for 80% hours depending on the candidate.
This role comes at an exciting time for the Division, which is finalizing an important acquisition process, and planning for integration activities.
The role has a strong focus on business partnering with the field team and Divisions leaders to enable profitable growth, as well as enhancing internal controls by liaising up with the whole UK Finance organization.
Finance business partnering activities will be including driving margin improvement for the division, tracking pricing initiative status and reviewing financial impact of new business opportunities.
Integration activities support will provide further opportunities to get a broader perspective on our finance processes, and the co-piloting role of Finance associates in our Company.
The successful candidate will be positive, willing to be flexible and take on new challenges, and a self-starter who wishes to drive process improvement. The candidate should have excellent experience in management accounting, forecasting, and strong attention to detail.
The Role Involves:
* Ensuring monthly accounts are accurate and revenue correctly recorded.
* Tracking and analyzing customer margins and driving margin improvements.
* Responsibility for monthly forecasting and budgeting.
* Responding to financial information requests from European Finance team.
* Providing financial reports to management team.
* Ensuring costs are tracked and controlled.
* Supporting the Sales team with customer bids.
Minimum Qualifications:
* Minimum of 4 years experience in Accounting or Finance
* Member of an accounting body (CIMA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent)
* Strong systems/processes background
* Strong planning, organizational and prioritization skills
* Proactive, analytical, logical and disciplined approach to problem solving
* Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised on own initiative
* Excellent verbal and written communication, with the ability to converse at all levels
* Good English language skills – both verbal and literate
* Proficient with using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
* Full Driving License; the job may require some travel (up to 20%).
