An amazing opportunity has arisen for an Accounts Payable Analyst, based on the outskirts of Edinburgh, offering a salary of £19,000 - £21,000.

The Company

The company are currently going through a period of growth and change and are looking for a talented individual to join their busy accounts payable team. This individual will have the opportunity to join a global leader in their sector and world class finance function.

The Role

The role of Accounts Payable Analyst will report directly to the Accounts Payable Manager, with a dotted line to a 'hands-on’ Finance Director. The role will require the successful individual to be well-versed in the functionality of accounts payable; as well as an ability to work at pace, maintaining excellent accuracy in all aspects of their work. The successful individual must also be adaptable and have a resilience to match.

On Offer

The position of Accounts Payable Analyst will offer a salary of £19,000 - £21,000 plus an excellent benefits package, including 34 days holiday. The offices are based on the outskirts of Edinburgh and have parking available onsite and/or are easily accessible via public transport.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:
  • Reporting to the Accounts Payable Manager
  • Processing purchase ledger invoices
  • Supplier statement reconciliations
  • Creating new suppliers and managing supplier database
  • Dealing with purchase and supplier issues/enquiries
  • BACS payment runs
  • Subcontractor CIS tax returns
  • Other ad hoc finance related duties

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:
  • Have a minimum of 12 months practical accounts payable experience
  • Have experience of operating accounting software(s)
  • Knowledge and understanding of subcontractor CIS tax returns would be desirable but not essential
  • Proficient use of Microsoft Office including Excel
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
