Accountant / Finance Manager

My client is a heritage brand, established over 100 years ago they have expanded to be a well-known, AIM’s listed, market leading retailer.

The Head of Finance is seeking a part or qualified individual for a varied and exciting position within their growing team. Primarily responsible for stock, cash, treasury and month end accounting.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

* Day to day management of the treasury function and being the main contact for bank queries

* Making sure bank reconciliation's performed on a regular basis and timely

* Actively being involved in the month-end process, responsible for the accruals and prepayments and making sure that the month-end process running to the set timetable

* Stock & cash management

* Reconciliation of balance sheet accounts

* Perform variance analysis of some of the cost and investigate any differences

* Produce on a weekly and a monthly basis internal reporting

* Assisting with various ad hoc projects.

* Management of 3 accounts clerks (that focus on reconciliation's)

PERSON SPECIFICATION REQUIRED

* Importantly - a manager of staff previously

* Qualified or studying

* Ideally a retail or similar accounting background

* Stock accounting

* Treasury and cash management

* Good excel skills
