Job Description

The R&A Analyst will focus on operational excellence in the delivery of their process responsibilities. They will build a deep knowledge of the outputs required and ways of working to deliver these, along with the tools and systems that are an integral enabler of the process. They will work collaboratively with colleagues in R&A and their peers from other processes where operational excellence or data integrity impacts on the R&A delivery.

Ensuring business transactions are accounted in line with the Standard Global Processes as well as Shell and External accounting guidelines. This could be through automation of systems or manual interventions.

This position will report to R&A Senior Team Manager in the Finance Operations centre (FO) in Cyberjaya, Malaysia, and will liaise with the respective businesses based across various geographical locations. The successful candidate must possess strong communication skills and be capable of developing highly effective relationships with various stakeholders.

Accountabilities:

  • Performing analyst role in execution and analyzing cost allocation and all control requirements to be met on a timely basis
  • Preparation and submission of internal /external reporting requirements in line with group timelines
  • Perform accounting activities accurately in line with timetable
  • Collaboration with other R&A colleagues and other processes to ensure timely closure of ledger
  • Operating all SOX and internal controls in line with Work Instructions and the Group controls framework
  • Participate in R&A special projects & timely and effective responses to special data/project requests.
  • Manage interfaces with FO and Non FO stakeholders effectively, build end to end perspective Special Challenges/requirements:
  • Build trust and confidence in cooperation within Finance Operations
  • Exceptionally strong team-working across the process area is essential
  • Cooperation with multiple stakeholders
  • Necessity to constantly update knowledge within finance
  • Work in process heavily loaded towards deadlines
