Bookkeeper

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a global Financial Services firm located in the heart of Central London. The role will provide Bookkeeping and Accountancy support to the property team and to a varied portfolio of clients.

Description

Responsibilities of the Bookkeeper:

Bookkeeping

• Complete the monthly bookkeeping

• Double entry bookkeeping for a variety of structures under administration

• Reconcile bookkeeping against bank and custody statements

• Resolve any reconciliation issues/queries with administrative staff

• Prepare trial balances

• Prepare cash statements as required

Accounting Administration

• Preparation of corporation tax returns and related computations

• Complete the monthly management accounts

• Accounts preparation

• Maintain the accuracy and completeness of bookkeeping spreadsheet for clients requiring bookkeeping services

• Providing accounting support to clients

Other

• Preparation of self-assessment returns and non-resident company returns

• Comply with all client accounting manuals and processes

• Preparation of VAT returns

• Liaising directly with clients

• Liaising directly with directors

Profile

The successful Bookkeeper:

• Comfortable performing the above duties

• At least 2 year's bookkeeping experience

• Knowledge of bookkeeping systems and processes

• Solid knowledge of double entry bookkeeping

• Understanding of the different corporate structures to which bookkeeping services are to be provided to

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Microsoft Excel
