Management Accountant - Graduate trainee

Elevation Recruitment Group currently have an exciting opportunity for an established & growing Manufacturing business based in Alfreton. My client is an employer of choice within the region & have offices all around the UK. My client is currently looking for a progressive graduate to join their finance team at the early stages of their career. If you are a graduate from 2016 or due to graduate in 2017 this could be a fantastic opportunity to start your career. Reporting straight to the Financial Director, you will be required to assist in the timely production of Month End Management Accounts as well as production of month end reports and related analysis. This will be an extremely varied and challenging role that will offer a lot of all-round exposure to the successful candidate. The successful candidate must be a recent graduate ideally with a placement year or some practical experience within an accounting function. Duties & Responsibilities include: -Assisting with the production of Monthly Management Accounts-Create and post monthly journals-Fixed assets & depreciation -Keep reconciliations up to date-Update and reconcile the monthly accounts (including variance analysis and various reports)-Project Costing -Material Costing-Cash-flow Forecasting-Preparation of Budgets and re-forecasts-Preparation of Annual audit packs -Work In Progress Reviews - process the collected information and analyse-Make suggestions for improvement to the system, processes and procedures-Any other ad hoc tasks To be successful for this role the candidate must have the following skills:--2016/2017 graduate in Accountancy, Finance, Economics, Maths or Business- 2:1 degree or above- Exemptions from CIMA or ACCA - A placement year within finance would be beneficial but not essential-Excellent communication skills both written and oral-Solid IT knowledge with ability to pick up new systems quicklyThe company offers a fantastic working environment and offers a good training, development & progression to all its employees.
