An opportunity has arisen within a leading insurer for a Medical Underwriter to join their Enhanced Annuity Team.
This is a friendly, busy team working in one of the leading companies in their field and duties will include:
* Accurately assessing medical / risk information provided via customer disclosure forms
* Ensure that accepted applications meet agreed policy parameters.
* Develop / utilise understanding of lifestyle / medical conditions in order to make sound underwriting decisions.
* Contribute to the circulation of business intelligence in order to improve underwriting processes and procedures.
* Assist with the development of less experienced colleagues underwriting skills
Candidates must come from a medical underwriting background and possess a good understanding of risk factors that affect mortality associated with anatomy, lifestyle and medical conditions. Applicants must also possess strong communication skills coupled with the ability to make evidence based underwriting decisions.
