Senior Management Accountant £45-£55k- based in Huntingdon
An exciting opportunity for a fully qualified and experienced Management Accountant to join a leading supplier in the construction industry has arisen. Reporting to the Financial Director, you will lead an ever growing, dynamic Management Accountant team in the Huntingdon Head Office.
Duties for the Senior Management Accountant Position:
• Full ownership of P&L accounts, including sign off on final Version/plans- Liaising with onsite management teams to discuss results
• You will be advising on budgets and forecasts and providing recommendations to the budget holder to identify cost savings
• You will need to prepare monthly management information for departmental heads,
• including analytical review for key variances to budget and year
• Maintenance of management accounting processes and implementation and communication and authorised changes
• Provision of supporting data and relevant analysis to the operations board, to aid the effective business decisions
• Validation of all month actuals, budgets, and forecast- KPI reporting for preparation of Board packs
• You will support with the development and support of the junior members of the management accounts team
Essential skills needed for the Senior Management Accountant position:
• You will be a confident and competent Qualified Accountant (ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA)
• You must have previous experience working both within a practise and also within an individual business (Commercial experience)
• Strong accounting experience with a sound understanding of all management accounting disciplines and working knowledge of accounting and reporting systems
• You must be highly proficient in MS Excel skills
• You will have excellent communication skills and a strong analytical mindset.
