iMultiply are engaged on a Finance Manager position for a high growth technology business based in Edinburgh paying upto £48,000 plus an extremely competitive benefits package.

The Role

The position of Finance Manager has become available due to an internal promotion, something that is in its DNA as offering career progression, development and succession planning is a vital competent of its people plan. The role will manage a small transactional team whilst also providing essential periodic, adhoc and project reporting allowing data to be turned into business partnering with departmental heads. Ideally the successful candidate will be a qualified Accountant that can demonstrate people management experience within finance however qualified by experience will also be considered with relevant practical experience.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:
  • Reporting to and deputising for the Financial Controller with a dotted line to the Head of Finance & CFO
  • Managing a small finance team - purchase ledger, sales ledger, credit control & payroll
  • Production of monthly, quarterly and yearly reporting packs
  • Assisting with year-end accounts including liaising with external auditors
  • Periodic, adhoc and project reporting to produce insightful data that can be used to business partner with departmental heads
  • Involvement in high value & business critical projects
  • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures & controls
  • Overseeing month-end - accruals, prepayments, journals, balance sheet reconciliations etc.
  • Assisting with the development of systems and software
  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Adhoc duties

To be considered for this opportunity, you will have the following experience:
  • Qualified Accountant, however qualified by experience will also be considered with relevant practical experience
  • Exposure to managing transactional finance teams
  • Experience of financial & management accounts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to build relationships with internal & external stakeholders
