Finance Manager - IT Services
Allen Lane are working with a local authority to recruit an interim Finance Manager to lead the team to provide excellent financial support and advice to the IT directorate. Coming in whilst they go through their permanent recruitment, the successful candidate will need to hit the ground running during the busy year end period.
As such key objectives will include:
- Lead the team to successful production of year end financial accounts, the associated close down processes and preparing for and responding to external audit
- Supporting the team through budget monitoring including leading the team to challenge departments on the best use of their resources available
- Drive improvement of financial processes and systems and ensure the adoption of best practice in financial management
This position encompasses core finance and an accounting background within local government is essential, ideally with a CCAB, CIMA or similar qualification. If you have previous experience working within IT and an understanding of day to day contract management and reporting within IT that would be a bonus.
