The full–time Controller position is situated in the San Dimas, California area. If you can plan and direct all accounting operational functions, handle the accumulation and consolidation of financial data for internal and external financial statements, evaluate accounting and internal control systems, and lead departmental staff, you might be right for this position. How you will make an impact – Occasionally perform duties beyond formal job responsibilities – Guide all operations of the finance department, including accounts payable, billings collections, and payroll – Assess deliverables of self and team to verify they meet client expectations – Prepare cash–flow reports, projecting cash needs at weekly and monthly intervals, daily cash management – Work closely with executive team and partners to ensure that firm–wide operation is efficient and effective – Advance Finance Department initiatives, such as software and systems implementation and other departmental or firm–wide improvements, as needed, with research, planning and implementation – Manage the production of and monthly monitoring of the annual budget and forecasts – Manage monthly and annual close of income statement and balance sheet, the reconciliations of accounts, and G/L analysis – Evaluate, implement and streamline policies, procedures, controls and most methodologies – Drive the timing for monthly billing and other cash management techniques to ensure the timely cash collection – Give executive committee and partners monthly financial reports Bilingual in Spanish or French is a plus and must have experience using the SAP software. – Accounting experience in publicly–traded company a plus – CPA or MBA preferred – BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field – Outstanding communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, both oral and written, and ability to build as well as deliver effective presentations – Outstanding technology, analytics and management experience required – Experience working in a dynamic and changing company environment a plus – Practical knowledge of financial statement preparation – Deep understanding of standard costs – Cost of product development experience desired – Costing experience – General familiarity with financial analysis – Background working with budget forecasting – SAP Financials experience highly preferred – Business analysis experience highly desired – General ledger experience preferred – Adeptness in account analysis – Demonstrated knowledge of analysis – Ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and deadlines – Strong communication skills, both verbally and in writing – Outstanding analytical, quantitative and social skills – Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast–paced environment – 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred – Self–starter and strong ethical standards
