We currently have an Internal Audit Manager role within our Public Sector Audit team in either our Edinburgh or Glasgow office.

This role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to undertake internal audit assignments across a wide range of public sector clients, working closely with our experienced team.

The team are looking for someone who is professionally qualified (IIA or equivalent) and has experience working on complex internal audit assignments. Previous experience of auditing public sector clients would be beneficial.

As an Internal Audit Manager, the successful candidate's main responsibilities would include:
  • managing a portfolio of large and complex clients;
  • managing and developing employees within the team to ensure the delivery of quality service;
  • leading on internal audit assignments and overseeing all aspects of fieldwork and completion;
  • prepare audit planning briefs, deliver quality internal audit projects and agree audit reports with clients;
  • ensuring work in progress against agreed budgets, maximise recoveries against agreed targets, prepare fees as appropriate
  • be a key contact for clients and attend client meetings (inc. audit committee meetings);
  • actively seeking new business development opportunities.
The candidate should have excellent communication skills, an effective team player and be commercially focused.
