The role:
There is a small team in the office. The working environment is a friendly but professional atmosphere. Brookscity prides itself on complying with the deadlines. The apprentice needs to be able to work accurately and to be able to communicate with the clients and their colleagues.

Roles and responsibilities:
• Accounts preparation for sole traders and Limited Companies
• Corporation tax and self-assessment tax returns, VAT returns
• Bookkeeping
• Payroll
• Real Time Information filing
• Construction Industry Returns
• Statutory filing at Companies House
• Maintain contact with clients and deal with their queries.
• Bookkeeping duties.
• Work with colleagues to reach targets.
• Work in client services and report to the practise manager.

Skills required:
• High attention to detail
• Strong maths academics
• Impeccable both written and verbal communication
• High organised

Personal qualities desired:
• A desire to pursue a career in Finance/Accounting
• Able to work within a team and also individually
• Flexible

Entry requirements:

• B grade at Maths GCSE (all accounting roles)

Included in qualification:
  • Training on the 15 month Standard Level 3 Assistant Accountant (AAT3) apprenticeship.
  • Being a WhiteHat apprentice means access to awesome social events, sports teams, insight/career days with other apprentices to grow your network, as well as your own personal Coach who will guide you through the qualification to help you achieve your full potential.
  • As part of your WhiteHat Apprenticeship, you will have access to our Future Leaders Foundation modules to develop 6 key competencies, underpinned by well-being, self-awareness, motivation, conscientiousness, effectiveness and grit.

  • What's next:

    After your Accounting apprenticeship progress into a full-time role as Junior Finance Assistant, Assistant Accountant, Bookkeeping Assistant, Junior Tax Consultant or Audit Assistant. You can also complete the ACCA qualification into Chartered Accountancy
