Working for a leading brand working in the centre of Bath that offer a friendly and quirky atmosphere. Due to expansion they are looking for a Stock Accountant to join their team.

You will be reporting into the Finance Manager and responsibilities will include:
  • Day-to-day management of and responsibility for stock purchasing, accounting and transaction within the group through its purchasing entity
  • Preparation of cost reconciliations and understanding of variances between stock landed cost factors and actual invoices, commitments and spend; requiring understanding of landed cost build by product
  • Period-end balance sheet reconciliations and general period-end close and reporting
  • Preparation of three-month cash flow forecasts building from known purchase orders raised and anticipated orders to come
  • Period review and investigation of aged goods in transit balances and stock prepayments / deposits
  • Supporting and/or posting of stock receipts against purchase orders, releasing prepayments as appropriate, and working through to approval for payment
  • Matching of stock receipts within SAGE trading units against invoices recharged from the purchasing entity
  • Periodic stock reconciliations of warehouse stocks per SAGE vs stocks held per warehouse management systems, challenging the trading units around any significant write-ons / -offs
  • Providing support and cover for the Senior Finance Assistant

We are looking for candidates who are ideally AAT qualified or studying towards their CIMA/ACCA, be confident using Excel, and have experience in stock accounting.
