Here at Human Appeal we have an exciting opportunity for an Internal Auditor to join our team based in Cheadle. You will join us on a full time basis and in return you will receive a competitive salary of £25,600 - £35,200 per annumdepending on experience.
Human Appeal is a faith-based charity that aims to abolish poverty by providing humanitarian aid, sustainable development programs and championing advocacy for our beneficiaries worldwide.
We are currently recruiting for an Internal Auditor to join Human Appeal’s integral Finance and Services department at the charity’s Head Office in Cheadle, Greater Manchester.
The successful Internal Auditor will:
- Support the development of the Internal Audit function of Human Appeal
- Provide assurance at organisational and service level in the UK and globally
- Monitor the effectiveness of Human Appeal’s risk management and internal control environment
- Help ensure Human Appeal’s policies, procedures and systems remain fit for purpose and risks to the charity are properly mitigated and managed
The focus of this role spans all departments of the charity, with initial emphasis on Financial Auditing.
The Ideal Internal Auditor:
- Educated to Degree level, ideally with a relevant Auditor or Finance Qualification
- 3 – 5 Years of Experience within a similar role
- Charity Sector experience would be advantageous, including knowledge of Charity SORP Accounting
- Computer literate and experienced with MS Office Suite and Auditing software
- Fluent English essential and additional languages desirable, e.g. Arabic, Urdu, French
- Supports and drives organizational change by developing and implementing strategies
- Shows evidence of clear analytical thinking, using data available to draw sound conclusions, solve problems and make judgements
- Confident presenting findings to Director and Trustee level
