Under the guidance of their direct supervisor, accounting associates provide basic bookkeeping and accounting support to their clients. This involves tasks such as reviewing their financial statements for inaccuracies and monitoring financial activity.

Job Description

  1. Ensuring that all payments are made to various vendors
  2. Ensuring that all payments are received from customers
  3. Ensuring all monthly bills are paid on time
  4. Bank reconciliations
  5. Inputting all financial data
  6. Monthly financial reports and analysis
  7. Asset management and control Fixed asset register
  8. Cash flow management
  9. Budgets and variance analysis
  10. Internal control systems management
  11. Payroll - Preparation and sending of pay slips
  12. Statutory deductions, computation and payments-PAYE,NHIF & NSSF
  13. Products performance feedback to the marketing department
  14. Accounting of various projects being undertaken
  15. Interdepartmental cash flow management

  • At least 1 or 2 years general accounting; payables and receivables experience
  • Proficient in Quick Books applications and computer skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong organization skills
  • Must be willing to take on additional responsibilities as required
  • Must be a born again Christian

  • CPA 3, or Higher accounting qualifications
  • Degree in a business course
  • Proficient with accounting software such as QuickBooks or experience with similar software
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • A good understanding of general accounting practices

Salary: KES 40,000-45,000
