Hays is proud to be partnered with a highly reputable Big 4 firm of Chartered Accountants with offices and clients across the UK and spanning the globe. It is one of the leading professional services networks in the world, delivering high quality Tax, Assurance and Advisory Services for a variety of clients, for example over 100,000 private and entrepreneurial businesses as well as a substantial number of the Global 500. Given business development, the firm are looking to recruit for a Manager to join the Private Business Tax Team in either their Edinburgh or Glasgow office.

Your new role
Responsible for managing a portfolio of current clients within Private Business, you will handle complex tax advisory projects in addition to developing further business. Clients include owner managed businesses, private equity backed organisations, and high net worth families and individuals. This will largely be in relation to Corporate Tax, M&A Tax and Structuring, whilst supporting colleagues within Real Estate Tax, Stamp Duty and International Tax. Establishing effective working relationships, you will introduce other specialists and services where appropriate, be involved in financial management, ensure work is delivered in line with expectations, and meet with contacts to gain a thorough understanding of their business. In addition to this, you will manage and develop more junior members of the team.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will have the proven ability to manage a varied client portfolio consisting of large advisory projects. You will have strong experience within Corporate or Mixed Tax in addition to commercialism and a pro-active nature. Ideally, you will be a qualified Tax Advisor (ATT and/or CTA) and/or have undertaken ACCA, ICAS or equivalent.
