The Role

The position of Financial Accountant has an international reach and is a newly created vacancy due to further expansion & growth with the business. It involves a strong blend of both financial and management accounting, whilst also being involved in projects and driving efficiencies including processes, procedures & controls.

This role would be ideal for a qualified Financial Accountant with industry experience seeking a more senior role with international exposure or an individual looking to take their first step from an Accountancy Practice into industry (Accounts/Audit Senior, Manager or Senior Manager). As it’s a new vacancy the business have the ability to tailor the level of the role to fit individuals from newly qualified to five years post qualification experience.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:
  • Reporting to and deputising for the Finance Manager
  • Dotted line and constant exposure to the Financial Controller, Finance Director and CFO
  • Assisting with the preparation of financial statements
  • Preparing monthly reporting packs and overseeing month-end process
  • Variance analysis and adhoc reporting
  • Annual audit preparation and liaising with external auditors
  • Ensuring adherence with internal and external compliance & regulations
  • Ensuring the integrity of the balance sheet including reconciliations
  • Maintaining intercompany transactions
  • Reviewing and developing processes, procedures, controls & systems
  • Involvement with a number of high value and business critical projects
  • Building relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Adhoc duties

To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience:
  • Qualified Accountant
  • Exposure to accounts preparation, pure audit experience won’t be accepted
  • Ability to interact and influence internal & external stakeholders
  • Exposure to an ERP system would be advantageous but not essential
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
