An excellent new opportunity has arisen to work for a well known Public Sector organisation in the East End of Glasgow as a Finance Officer on a Part-Time basis.
This is an excellent opportunity to take on a wide variety of tasks and assist the Finance Manager and Senior Finance Officer with the smooth running of a busy finance function.

Your Duties;
  • Assistance in the preparation of management accounts for subsidiary companies as required
  • Month end & year end accruals
  • Prepayments
  • Process monthly cashbooks - posting income and expenditure to nominal ledger.
  • Monthly reconciliation of bank statements to the nominal ledger for allocated group bank accounts
  • Fixed Asset Register & Depreciation
  • Maintenance of petty cash including reimbursement of cash, updating cash spreadsheet
  • Reconciling petty cash to the nominal ledger and posting monthly journal
  • Maintenance of sales ledger - raising sundry invoices, posting to the sales ledger and debtors ledger management for commercial Subsidiary companies
  • Processing of purchase invoices and supplier ledger management for subsidiary companies
  • Monthly reconciliation of allocated control accounts and funding streams by agreed timescale
  • Maintaining the fixed asset register
  • Assisting with monitoring all IT supports logs including: - hardware, software, phone equipment, fax, copier and mobile communications equipment. Ensure all system backups are operational and fully functional
  • Assist the Finance Manager with internal compliance monitoring, such as compliance with Procurement Legislation, the Data Protection Act and GDPR
