The role

If you are looking to build a long-term career in finance, opportunities like this don’t come along often. Join Clarks and you’ll be personally mentored by the Head of Finance and supported by the wider team to give you everything you need to develop your commercial finance and data analysis skills. This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with the business, providing regular reporting and analysis to help drive great business decisions. You’ll use your creative approach to take the data you have scrutinised in detail and make it tell a story, translating it into a language that can be easily understood by your customers and business leaders. Using your excellent interpersonal skills to voice your opinions, you will meet a range of complex demands for different stakeholders. Naturally driven to look for ways of streamlining and improving systems and processes, you will ensure the right controls and procedures are in places to help you efficiently monitor and effectively report. Always delivering work of the highest standard and on time, you will be focused on meeting every customer’s needs. Could this be just what you have been looking for?

A bit about you

You will be highly numerical and extremely skilled at working with data. If you have an accounting qualification, are working towards one, or have a relevant degree, all the better. But what is most important is that you love data and what you can manipulate from a mass of numbers. A great communicator who can confidently present complex information in to easy-to-understand language, you’ll also be a competent PC user with great Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel. Thorough, accuracy focused and great at time management, you’ll be the kind of person who knows the value that data can deliver to the wider business.

Life with us

Every 60 seconds, 105 pairs of Clarks shoes are sold globally. That makes us a £1.6 billion business and a truly worldwide brand. We now have some 15,000 employees across 75 different countries – everywhere from Europe to the Americas. Despite being the world’s biggest everyday footwear brand (by sale volume), we’re still owned by the Clarks family and based in Street, Somerset – where the Clarks business began. Street is the nerve centre of our business, driving growth and the whole Clarks success story.

The benefits

As well as development opportunities, pension and a competitive salary, you’ll also enjoy a variety of benefits. These range from 25 days’ holiday (plus bank holidays) to discounted healthcare. And, as everyone loves new shoes, you’ll also get a very healthy discount on our products.

We love hearing from great people
