A permanent opportunity has opened up for an experienced and CICM qualified Credit Controller within our client's Shared Services Centre team.

Credit Controller responsibilities:

Reporting to the Credit Manager, this role will work with the Credit Team in their aim to improve their existing cash management processes, maintaining their low debt risk history by being visible and proactive with customers both external and within the business. Key responsibilities include:
  • Preparation of regular cash flow forecasts based on actual and budgeted debts, preparing monthly Debtor reports for consideration by the Board and the Management Committee
  • Preparation of appropriate KPI metrics to measure performance
  • Reviewing credit account applications from new customers and based on uptake of suitable credit reference agency checks, Companies House information and industry experience make a decision on creditworthiness to support a decision on granting of a credit
  • Regular review of existing customer accounts adjusting credit limits accordingly in conjunction with their Commercial colleagues and customers
  • Reviewing and resolve problems on major accounts through discussion with Commercial colleagues and the customers directly
  • Monitoring deductions being taken by customers to ensure full accruals are in place where necessary or evidence is provided by Commercial colleagues to dispute the deductions
  • Identifying and introducing new processes for funds collection e.g. EDI, Direct Debit, VISA Purchasing

The ideal Credit Controller:

Previous experience as a Credit Controller is essential for this position. Ideally, you will have experience working within an accounts team within a manufacturing business.

The ideal candidate will have a CICM accounting qualification and have the desire to develop their skills within Credit Control further.
