What you'll be doing

We're looking for an Internal Auditor to join our team in Basingstoke. As part of our finance team your key responsibilities will include:

• Contribute to the planning and development of a risk focused internal audit plan.
• Deliver the internal audit plan, which may involve managing internal or external audit resources under a co-sourced arrangement.
• Report findings to management, making informed and considered recommendations for improving the internal control environment.
• Monitor the timeliness and effectiveness of agreed actions.
• Conduct special investigations or risk assessments from time to time as required.
• Prepare and present a quarterly internal audit update for the Audit & Risk Committee.
• Assist management in facilitating the Committee's annual review of the effectiveness of internal control and risk management.
• Monitor and track the completion of internal audit recommendations and report regular status updates.
• Support management to provide advice to the Board and Audit & Risk Committee in their assessment of the business's principal risks and defining risk appetite.
• Help facilitate bi-annual divisional and Board level risk reviews.
• Support the Data Protection Officer by giving first line advice on GDPR considerations for new business initiatives (support provided).

Your EXP

• Retail or multisite experience in a commercial organisation
• Qualified accountant / auditor
• A strong understanding of audit concepts
• A proven track record of delivering effective audits
• Excellent communication skills, including report writing

Basecamp

You'll be joining our finance team in Basingstoke.
