Credit Controller

Portfolio Credit Control are currently working with a large business based in Watford who are currently recruiting for a Credit Controller to join their growing team on a permanent basis.

You will report into the Credit Control Manager and Team Leader and be working within a friendly, experienced team of Credit Controllers.

Key Responsibilities

• Ideally Advance knowledge of excel with experience in using Vlookups & Pivot Tables
• Managing a large ledger over multiple accounts including SME, Local Authority and corporate clients.
• Chasing clients via phone, email and letter
• Providing support to the Finance team
• Adhering to policies & procedures as documented
• Query resolution and escalation
• Building rapport with external clients and ensure payments are made on time
• Providing support and assistance to the team when required
• Investigation of any unallocated funds
• Experienced in reconciling accounts
• Experienced in making high volume client contact calls
• Good at making and building on relationships internally and externally.

The Person

You must have experience as a Credit Controller, ideally within the same position. Due to the nature of the role, you must be confident when speaking to people at all levels; both internally and externally. You will be self-motivated and driven to complete all tasks in a timely and effective manner. To be successful you need to be able to organise yourself and prioritise tasks based on importance and urgency.
