Portfolio Credit Control are currently working with a large business based in Watford who are currently recruiting for a Credit Controller to join their growing team on a permanent basis.
You will benefit from a competitive basic salary, discretionary profit share as well as a number of yearly socials. The company is conveniently located close to excellent transport links and there are a number of off-site car parks nearby.
You will report into the Credit Control Manager and Team Leader and be working within a friendly, experienced team of Credit Controllers.
Key Responsibilities
The Person
You must have experience as a Credit Controller, ideally within the same position. Due to the nature of the role, you must be confident when speaking to people at all levels; both internally and externally. You will be self-motivated and driven to complete all tasks in a timely and effective manner. To be successful you need to be able to organise yourself and prioritise tasks based on importance and urgency.

Key Responsibilities
- Ideally Advance knowledge of excel with experience in using Vlookups & Pivot Tables
- Managing a large ledger over multiple accounts including SME, Local Authority and corporate clients.
- Chasing clients via phone, email and letter
- Providing support to the Finance team
- Adhering to policies & procedures as documented
- Query resolution and escalation
- Building rapport with external clients and ensure payments are made on time
- Providing support and assistance to the team when required
- Investigation of any unallocated funds
- Experienced in reconciling accounts
- Experienced in making high volume client contact calls
- Good at making and building on relationships internally and externally.
