As an Assistant Management Accountant, you will be supporting the Senior Management Accountant in providing financial information and business partnering to our operation. You will be either qualified or looking to complete your CIMA/ACCA qualification, whilst being self-motivated and able to use your own initiative to overcome obstacles.

The Assistant Management Accountant Role

You will be working with the business to maximise profit and meet company objectives, and your responsibilities will include:
  • Production and review of divisional monthly profit and loss accounts, ensuring accurate and precise information is provided to the business
  • Analysis and comparison of sales, margins and overheads - actuals versus budgets / forecast. Providing commentaries as appropriate
  • Partnering with the business, providing financial information and support
  • Quarterly profit and loss reforecasting
  • Ownership of yearly budget process - working with business to prepare
  • Resolution of profit and loss and business queries
  • Calculation of bonuses; monthly, quarterly and annually
  • Month end reconciliations, journals, reports, analysis and review

Who are we looking for?
  • Experience of journal preparation and data extraction from any general ledger
  • You will be competent with excel
  • You will have the ability to work to deadlines and adapt to changing demands, whilst remaining calm under pressure
  • You will have a disciplined approach and be well-organised with strong attention to detail
  • You will be an excellent communicator with the ability to build rapport quickly with internal and external clients
