Job Description

Financial and Accounting Operations:

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Preparations of timely and accurate monthly/quarterly management reports & P&L
  • Prepare Balance Sheet analysis, review P&L and perform necessary adjustments
  • Ensure statutory deductions and tax payments are made on time
  • Implementation of financial risk management policies of the company, including forex risk
  • Ensure effective cash flow management
  • Coordinate both external and internal audits and ensure effective implementation of audit recommendations

Cost Accounting

  • Development of pricing models by analyzing changes in product design, raw materials, manufacturing methods or services provided, to determine effects on cost including new & proposed product costs
  • Preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs, profitability & report to management
  • To check and reconcile manufacturing cost variances and yields analysis monthly & identify opportunity for improvement.


QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce (Accounting/Finance Option), Business Management (Accounting/Finance Option), Economics, or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution
  • Qualified Accountant (CPA (K), ACCA , or equivalent) are a mandatory requirement AND be registered with a professional body such as CPA, ACCA.

EXPERIENCE:

  • At least 5 years of Management Accounting with exposure to Cost Accounting in a busy Manufacturing/FMCG environment with strong financial and accounting knowledge (IFRS) & Company Act.
  • In depth understanding of manufacturing/FMCG processes
  • Good knowledge in consolidation of group financials
  • Good working knowledge of any accounting software eg Profix and SAP R3.
