Job Description

The Revenue Accountant position is a member of the revenue accounting team in Cork and will report to a Senior Revenue Accountant in Cork and indirectly to a Revenue Manager in Palo Alto. Specific responsibilities will depend on individual candidate skill set but will primarily include the ownership of Contra Revenue and OEM Revenue and associated close activities as well as ad-hoc project work.

Duration: 1 year contract

The responsibilities are as follows:

1. Contra Revenue:

· Preparation of Contra Revenue Forecast.

Partnering with business partners within Revenue, Sales Finance and Corporate FP&A.
Understand the various contra program documents related to contra revenue items and articulate the calculation.
· Interact with the Partner Ops team in rebate related discussions.

· Work closely and communicate effectively with Partner Operations and Channel Finance to ensure proper compliance with revenue recognition rules and guidelines.

· Participate in the month-end & quarter-end close process.

Preparation of relevant balance sheet account reconciliations.
Preparation of quarterly Balance Sheet analytics, Balance Sheet review slides and CAO slide deck for senior management.
Internal control SOX testing & reviewing.
· Ensure compliance with Revenue Team SOX Controls.

· Prepare audit schedules during quarterly reviews and year-end audits.

· Assist with other accounting projects/areas as necessary.

2. OEM Revenue:

· Preparation of OEM Unbilled Forecast.

Work closely and communicate effectively with Global Forecasting team, Order Management, Corporate FP&A and large OEM Partners.
· Interact with the Order management team on timely and accurate booking of OEM reports.

Prepare Unbilled v Actual analysis quarterly.
Preparation of relevant balance sheet account reconciliations.
Internal control SOX testing & reviewing.
· Ensure compliance with Revenue Team SOX Controls.

· Prepare audit schedules during quarterly reviews and year-end audits.

Preparation of quarterly Balance Sheet analytics, Balance Sheet review slides and CAO slide deck for senior management.
· Ownership of documentation and tracking of OEM contracts and amendments.

Execute ad hoc analysis and reporting as needed.
Assisting in identifying and implementing process improvements and automating manual processes where possible.

Position Requirements:

· Preferred: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance/commerce, CPA, ACA, ACCA or equivalent

· Preferred: 1 - 2 year's post qualified experience in multinational with software revenue accounting experience or large practice background

· Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general revenue documents and contracts.

· Knowledge of ASC 605, ASC 606 and other accounting rules relating to software and services recognition

· Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to effectively prioritize tasks and work with deadlines

· Ability to recognize problems, gather data, draw valid conclusions, and effectively present information to managers, peers, and customers

· Ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people; strong communication skills, both written and oral

· Solid PC skills with excellent Excel skills

· SAP experience preferred

· Fluent English speaker
