Basic Information-Location: China (Beijing)-Reports to: Executive Director and Shareholder-Supervises: Branch/Depot Finance Managers and Finance Assistants-Coordinates with: General Manager and Operations personnelJob Mission/Objective-The Financial Controller shall be responsible for the Companys financial management so as to ensure effective and efficient performance of the general accounting function, including local financial control and group management reporting.-This includes preparation and timely submission of complete and accurate financial reports to local and group management, timely tax remittances and filing of government reports, appropriate management of cash, receivables and payables as well as administrative needs of operations.-With on-going expansion of operations the Financial Controller will also be involved in set up of new branch operations in terms of fiscal, legal and financial system implementation.Duties and Responsibilities-The Financial Controller shall set-up and ensures compliance with the Companys accounting system and procedures in accordance with Chinese Law and with reference to the Shareholders accounting systems on all the Company's branches/depots;
-Coordinates with consultants, if any, and also external auditors on the recording and filing of all the Company's accounting records, vouchers, books, reports and statements etc. both in Chinese and English;
-The Financial Controller shall, on a monthly basis, provide the Shareholder with English version of the Companys consolidated income statement, cash flow statement, balance sheet and other required financial documents, such as, but not limited to consolidated Weekly/Monthly Operating and Cash flow Forecasts;
-The Financial Controller shall coordinate and finalize consolidated annual budgets as well as reviews and monitors actual transactions against budget;
-Monitors branch results ensuring a good understanding of performance drivers in order to provide variance analysis to local and group management;
-Assists in the fiscal and operational set-up of new branches as the organization develops;
-Ensures efficient handling and optimum utilization of funds of the Company;
-Reviews cash position reports and coordinates with operating units including banks regarding fund prioritization and resolution of collection and payable issues;
-Effectively manage, motivate and develop the Finance team. Supervise & review performance of individuals in the team;
-Assists and coordinates with other departments in reviewing and updating controls, policies and standard operating procedures;
-Streamlines accounting system through mechanization/computerization and enhancement for efficient and effective operation;
-Ensures that all financial reports and pertinent data/information are secured with utmost confidentiality;
-Performs other duties that may be assigned from time to time.Ideal Candidate-Strong employment experience in a Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) environment-Demonstrates a real interest in commercial business and experienced in working with operational teams to extract value-Prior experience working within a multi-national corporate structure-Flexible and open to changing demands of high volume business-Excellent MS Excel skills-Experience working to deadline and takes full responsibility for meeting local and group reporting requirements Qualification Guidelines-An appropriate Finance and Accounting qualification (preferably degree level)-Board-certified public account an advantage-At least five (5) years in accounting function with supervisory/managerial background, preferably within the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry-Accounting practice experience an advantage-Good working knowledge of accounts, budget and FMCG operations, including statutory and management group reporting-Fluency in English, both oral and written-Basic knowledge of China GAAP-Excellent working knowledge of MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint-Experience with China tax filings-Good communication skills-Supervisory experience-Good organization skills-Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines-Good eye to detail-Effective people management skills-Self-motivated-Willing to travel to branch locations as required to supervise and manage local finance teamPlease send your CV to ************************
