Your new company
Based in Cumbernauld, our client is recruiting for a Management Accountant on a contract basis initially. The role is scheduled to last until at least the end of the year with the potential for a longer-term opportunity for the right candidate. The role is based on 37.5 hours per week, ideally Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm, but there is some flexibility with these hours. Ideally but not essentially, applicants should have experience within manufacturing.
Your new role
Reporting to the financial controller, you will work as part of a small finance team. Your duties will include managing month end processes, budgeting & forecasting, costing analysis & audits, variance analysis, data analysis, inventory accounting, reporting for financial and non-financial managers and general associated tasks.
What you'll need to succeed
You must have proven, successful experience in a similar role, ideally (but not essentially) within manufacturing. You should be an analytical individual with strong communicative ability, as you will work alongside managers/decision makers within the business on your analysis/findings. It is preferred but not essential that you hold a degree in Accounting and you should be part qualified/qualified by experience.
