Audit Managers/Senior Managers - Pensions Centre of Excellence

At KPMG in the UK, we continue to transform audit to help unlock value for our clients. We’re leading the debate on the future shape of corporate reporting through our Restoring Trust initiative. And we’re raising the bar for audit quality. How? By leveraging our advanced technology and data analytics to interpret ever-greater quantities of information. By drawing on the natural curiosity and inquisitive minds of our highly-skilled people to provide deeper and more robust client insights.

But technology is meaningless without the talent to drive it. So we’re investing in our extraordinary people like never before. We’re giving them challenges that will fuel their ambitions, digital tools to further enhance the quality of their work and the scope they need to innovate – to help us redefine how audit is delivered.

What you’ll be doing

Pensions Centre of Excellence (PCoE) has been established to standardise the audits of defined benefit pension plans, driving a consistent approach and audit documentation to ensure delivery of high quality audits. Over the next year, the PCoE will assist selected pilot engagements with delivering the pensions audit. These engagements will vary in size to gain in-depth knowledge across a variety of industries which will aid the development of the work deliverables. Within the next two years, the scope will widen to include delivery of the pensions audits for all EU PIE audit clients in the UK.

What we’re looking for
  • Fully qualified ACA/ACCA or international equivalent with at least three years’ experience in audit and one year as manager
  • Strong project management techniques including decision-making ability, analytical skills, time management, prioritisation, organisation and evaluative skills
  • Exceptional communication skills; both written and verbal
  • Monitors and upholds high quality of service and products to clients (internal and external)
  • Well-developed team management and supervisory skills with the ability to motivate a team and lead by example
