Business Analyst – Business Change & Transformation – Contract

Rate: Up to GBP490 per day

Duration: 3 Month Initial (Extendable to 12 months)

The role:

Business Analyst, with experience working on large business transformation change initiatives, is urgently required by a leading financial institution in London, to undertake Business Analysis activities on the discovery phase of the programme. This is an initial 3–month contract, with scope for up to 12 months in duration.

The business transformation programme itself, will focus on driving operational efficiencies in their purchasing operating model, helping to streamline processes and improve services to their suppliers. As such, you will be required to work with senior stakeholders across the business to understand existing processes, taking SME information and mapping into best practice. This role will also be key in helping to fully establish the scope of the programme, defining the business objectives with significant input into the designing and documenting of the Target Operating Model,


  • Work with senior stakeholders across the business to elicit the business objectives and related acceptance criteria for the programme

  • Establish the approach for the elicitation and management of business requirements.

  • Undertake AS–IS and TO–BE analysis

  • Investigate and document Business Processes and Functional Requirements, including feasibility studies and Solution documentation, using recognised modelling techniques and methodologies (e.g. UML, BPMN)

  • Assist in the design / blueprint of the Target Operating Model

  • Manage deliverable quality and traceability and provide progress reports on assigned projects and tasks.

Person Requirements:

  • Experienced Business Analyst, with a background in business change / business transformation

  • Exhibit a strong presence with ability to challenge Senior Stakeholders

  • Significant expertise in stakeholder analysis and process mapping

  • Able to act as an agent for change to embed new ways of working

  • Gravitas and charisma to foster buy–in from a range of stakeholders across an organisation
