Head Resourcing are delighted to be recruiting for an experienced Internal Audit Manager for a fantastic fintech organisation in Edinburgh. We are keen to engage with individuals who demonstrate strengths in business risk and internal audits with experience in a fast-paced financial environment.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Working with the Audit Committee and senior management to identify and mitigate or minimise strategic, operational, financial and compliance risks
- Developing and implementing a flexible, risk-based audit plan and other concerns identified by management and the Audit Committee,
- Working with senior management to bring cost-effective and efficient leading bets business practices
- Having a leading role in the Audit Committee and promoting an ethical, risk averse culture throughout the organisation
- Ensuring that internal auditing standards and requirements are fully understood and applied
- Maintain the Audit Universe Inventory and associated risk assessment from ongoing continuous monitoring activities
- Supervising and actively participating in fieldwork around internal audits
- Providing support on various projects around internal audits as and when required
- There will be line management involved around this role including mentoring and developing junior direct reports
In order to be a suitable match for the role, candidates should demonstrate:
- Experienced in leadership and have experience working alongside senior management/board members
- Good understanding and working knowledge of current internal audit practices & techniques demonstrated by experience in financial services
- Proven experience of developing and delivering audit plan for a financial organisation
- Experience of coaching and developing junior staff either from a line management or mentor perspective
Knowledge of CASS audits and a IIA certification are desirable but not essential.
The successful candidate will show the ability to work in a fast paced, often demanding environment in a client serving capacity. Our client has a strong focus on developing and progressing staff making this a great career move
