A specialist service provider based on the outskirts of Chester is looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to join their team.
Reporting to the Senior Accountant, you will be responsible for:
* Managing your own portfolio of customers such as ltd companies and sole traders
* Dealing with enquiries from customers such as cash flow, VAT, expenses, personal and corporate tax
* Preparing customer accounts and supporting with statutory accounts preparation
* Assisting the senior accountants with preparation of self-assessment returns
* Liaising with HMRC and working closely with operational staff to add value to the customer experience
Experience & Qualifications Required:
* Up to date and relevant experience working in a similar role
* Ideally studying Level 3 or 4 of AAT
* Ideally have experience within an accountancy practice or bureau (other sectors will be considered)
* Have a customer service approach or have dealt directly with customers
* Confident telephone manner and good communication skills
As Assistant Accountant, you will work closely with 2 seniors in the finance team and share some responsibilities. You will receive on the job support, advice and guidance from the 2 seniors and the operational team. You will receive a competitive salary plus study support for Level 4 AAT. Upon passing Level 4 AAT there will also be a salary increment to look forward to and a company pension scheme. You will gain great exposure in this role and progress in line with your studies, company growth and change.
