Based in East Lancashire, in the town of Nelson I am working with a Family owned Manufacturing business who are seeking the first Finance Director following a period of solid growth. The business are at the forefront of developing products which are highly sought across the UK and abroad and have invested heavily in the machinery to enable further growth and capacity. Based across 3 local sites they manufacture a number of interesting products which also evolve with the changing climate of the word in which we live. Reporting to the Managing Director and Site operations you will challenge the day to day running of varying departments and be part of a driven and successful management team.
Your New Job
As Finance Director you shall be number one in finance based over 3 manufacturing sites with a small team to support of 4. With the opportunity to stamp your mark on the process and procedures across the finance function you shall work closely with the operations team to provide insight into cost efficiencies and make suggestions to become efficient cost wise where appropriate. A hands–on role, and highly visible throughout each site you shall complete and manage the forecasting process and ensure budgets and board pack detail are produced. Managing a small team you shall oversee the processing of invoices and be responsible for the processing of payroll across the group. A truly diverse and interesting role you shall seek to enhance the analysis and partner throughout whilst remaining the lead for production of Management Accounting and the Year End production. Representing Finance in the board meetings you shall lead from the front and become a pivotal member of the senior leadership team.
Your Experience & Our Requirements
You shall be a qualified accountant, (ACA ACCA or CIMA) who has had experience in a leadership role in the past and you shall also have operated in a manufacturing setting. Technically sound, with strong analysis skills you shall also have the ability to produce detailed accounts and the mentality driven to partner with operations. Hitting the ground running you shall have experience to improve process and take lead on the production of the monthly/yearly accounts. A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role is required.
