Finance Analyst

As our Finance Analyst, you will be working closely with the Head of Financial Planning and Analysis providing financial analysis and reporting to support the key priorities and activities of the business

Description

The Finance Analyst role involves;

• Supporting the financial analysis of the business sector's Purchasing Income, which involves analysing large volumes of data to pull out key insights and recommendations

• Attend monthly sector Performance Review Meetings and present relevant insights and recommendations

• Own the annual forecast of Total Purchasing Income, which involves building strong relationships with Sector Finance Directors and Sector Finance Analysts

• Support the internal weekly financial reporting

• Support the monthly reporting which includes Flash Report, Risks& Opportunities, Business Review Pack, MAP pack and Group Reporting

• Support the quarterly Group Business Review process

• Support the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting process for Total Purchasing Income

• Support the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting process for the business entity

• Provide ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as required

• Deputise for the Head of FP&A when required and appropriate

Profile

The ideal candidate for the Finance Analyst role will;

• be part-qualified/finalist level CIMA/ACCA/ACA
• be highly analytical and have worked in a similar role previously
• have the ability to turn data in to insight and recommendations
• have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders at all levels
• be looking for a role and business that encourages continuous development and progression
