A superb opportunity at the higher end, within a highly successful and growing firm of accountants has arisen, based in Bristol, looking to recruit an all around generalist professional, with a lean to Tax Advisory work as a Director / Partner. Due to combined growth and succession planning requirement, you will have a clear, unblocked path to progress within this highly successful and reputable chartered firm of accountants.

Client Details

This independent, successful chartered accountancy firm has grown significantly through both organic client growth and successful mergers, experiencing sustained ongoing growth of around 10% per year. The client base is wide ranging with a focus on growing, innovative OMBs, SMEs wide ranging in industry and turnover, with additional wide ranging private clients, providing an environment where you can build long term, rewarding relationships with business owners, HNWIs and become a trusted partner and advisor. Due to a strategy for growth, development and with succession to plan for within the Bristol operations, the directors are looking for the right individual who can develop the firm and progress within the organisation as a key addition at this higher level.

Description

Joining this firm as a Director / Partner you will work closely alongside fellow directors, heading up and leading this successful Bristol office. You will take on a significant sized client base, wide ranging in industry, size and complexity. Whilst this will require an all round, generalist practitioner background, there will also be a clear lean and focus on advising clients on tax advisory work alongside this, delivering advice across personal and corporate tax projects. As a few examples this will cover wide ranging IHT advice, gifts of shares into trusts, incorporating property portfolios, EMI advice, business sales and exit planning as just a few examples only. You will have a clear, long term career path on offer within this successful firm to work alongside your fellow Directors and influence the growth, strategy and future direction and success of an already well established and highly regarded firm of accountants.

Profile

You will be any of ACA / ACCA / CTA qualified with a strong background in accountancy practice gained within any, or a varied mix of small, medium/large independent accounting firm size, or top 100, mid tier or top tier firm background. You are ideally likely to have the all round, general practitioner technical background across any mix of of audit, accounts, tax, advisory and planning skills. You wll however definitely have a strong technical background and career interest in delivering tax advisory work across either personal and/or, corporate tax projects. Dependent on the fit of the right person the level of the right professional is likely to range across either a salaried Associate Director / Partner Desginate level of professional or well networked and capable Senior Manager looking to make the step up. Or you may be an established Partner/Director (equity) looking to make a career move.

Job Offer

Circa £70,000 - £120,000 + dependent on experience, background and level, negotiable plus benefits
