Management Accountant

My manufacturing and production client based in the Hatfield area are looking for a Management Accountant to facilitate their continued growth and development within the market place. They will also be expected to provide Business Partnering & Management information to the MD and other stakeholders internally.

Description

Management Accountant - Operations Finance will have the following exposure

• Managing a team of two full time and one part time finance staff
• Overseeing and interacting with all staff involved in the financial operations of the company
• Preparation of full Monthly management accounts
• Ensure inter-group company balances are reconciled on a monthly basis
• Assistance, preparation and submission of VAT Returns and Intrastat
• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Stock management to ensure sufficient economic order quantities
• Preparation of budgets and cashflow forecasts commencing 2018
• Implementing and formalising internal policies and procedures
• Executing strategies to minimise risks
• Reconciling all bank and control accounts
• Liaising with parent company in Germany
• Preparing the payroll on a monthly basis
• Dealing with the foreign currency requirements of the business
• Preparing specialist financial reports for the General Manager and Directors including collating, analysing and summarising all relevant information and trends

Profile

The successful Management Accountant - Operations Finance profile will

• Be Part Qualified or a Finalist
• Have 3-5 years exp. in Industry & Commerce
• Have advanced Excel (V-Lookups, Macros, Pivot Tables etc...)
• Be comfortable communicating with stake holders outside of finance
• Be a Self starter
• Have good organisational skills
