Michael Page Finance are currently supporting a large organisation based in the West Midlands who are actively recruiting for a Financial Accountant to report into the Group.

Due to an internal move, they are now looking to attract and invest in a newly qualified individual seeking an opportunity within a large corporate organisation.
Description
Whilst working alongside other Financial Accountants in the team, the role with report directly into the Group. Responsibilities will include technical aspects of financial accounting including fixed assets, revenue recognition and group consolidation.
Although the role will be mostly involved in these technical aspects, you will also contribute to the month end process including journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations.
There will also be consistent engagement with other stakeholders within finance as well as senior management to ensure that all risks identified in the reporting process are addressed.
Depending on experience, there will also be an opportunity to manage a few direct reports and represent the Financial Control and Reporting team when working with other areas of the business.
It will be important for you to work closely with individuals across the business and act as a key contact within finance to ensure any potential risks are resolved correctly
Profile
The business I am working with is seeking a newly qualified ACA/ACCA accountant with at least one year post-qualified experience. You must have strong experience in working within a group or reporting function alongside strong knowledge of IFRS reporting standards.
Due to engagement with stakeholders in finance and across the business, it is essential that each candidate is able to build relationships, communicating effectively to ensure that all processes are efficient and accurate.
Excellent problem solving skills and the ability to support colleagues in the team.
Microsoft Excel experience.
Track record of providing advice to colleagues and the confidence to provide advice to Senior Management.
