A mid-sized international bank has a Senior Finance Manager job opening for their Hong Kong team. The bank is quite diverse and has a healthy mix of corporate, institutional and private banking business in Hong Kong. They are a market leader in their home country and are very stable in Hong Kong. Driven candidates who are self-motivated, team players and outside the box thinkers would thrive with this type of bank.

Your new role

In your new job as the Senior Finance Manager you will report directly to the Hong Kong CFO. 65% of your job duties will be focused on HKMA reporting, both preparing and reviewing non-locally incorporated returns. A smaller aspect of the role with be month end duties such as balance sheet substantiation and some statutory reporting duties. The bank also has a number of projects that they would like to begin working on and go live with.

What you'll need to succeed

To thrive with your new bank you should have 10-15 years of accounting experience with 5+ year's experience in the banking industry. You are well versed with HKMA returns and 5+ years completing and/or reviewing various HKMA returns. Having strong statutory reporting experience and tax experience are a benefit. You have previous project experience; this bank is ambitious in their desire to constantly improve themselves and has a number of projects they would like to begin working on. Finally, you are someone who is a self-starter and has a previous track record of success.
