Head of Finance with progression to Finance Director

Due to their continued growth and success, they are once again looking to add to their senior management team. The Role The position will be under the stewardship of an exceptional Direct of Finance that has a proven track record of developing senior finance professionals. Furthermore, due to rapid growth the business succession plan has the Head of Finance being promoted to Director of Finance within the next 2-3 years. To be considered, you must be a qualified Accountant ideally with a corporate finance background (this would be a fantastic opportunity for a candidate looking to make their first move from Accountancy Practice into industry). On Offer The role of Head of Finance will offer a salary of £40,000 plus a highly competitive benefits package. The offices premises are based in Edinburgh city centre and easily accessible via public transport. You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties: Reporting to and deputising for the Director of FinanceBusiness partnering with senior internal & external stakeholdersManaging high value & business critical projectsLiaising with the investment and capital funding teamsProduction and presentation of monthly reporting packsKPI setting & reportingBudget setting & monitoringShort, medium and long-term forecasting including capital projectsCashflow planningPreparation of statutory accounts & returnsReviewing and developing processes, procedures & controlsOverseeing month end processingAssisting with IT system developmentsAdhoc duties To be considered for this opportunity, you must have the following experience: Qualified Accountant - ICAS/IACEW/ACCA/CIMAExposure to corporate finance would be highly advantageousExperience of financial modelling & advanced ExcelExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to interact, engaged and influence senior stakeholders Please do not hesitate to contact John Gilbertson for a private & confidential discussion.
