Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure the accuracy of all referral commission invoice and monies owed to G Adventures and the CEOS is being managed and maintained.
- Prepare all monthly expenditure reports such as reconciliations and cash flow forecasts, ensuring documentation is submitted in a timely manner.
- Review all incoming invoices for accuracy of information. Post transaction by using the financial system and record in appropriate journals, ledgers and other records related to payables.
- Where necessary, create invoices for specified service providers and assist in training them on how to populate the invoice.
- Work to minimize risk and reduce error rates by consistently following correct processes.
- Calculate and prepare monthly payroll to office staff.
- Reporting monthly statement to Head Office Finance team.
- Partner with external accounting consultant to ensure the accuracy and timely submissions of all monthly, quarterly and yearly tax declarations.
- Prepare all financial reports as requested, including income statements, balance sheets and cash flow statements. Ensure all audit trail requirements are consistently met.
- Deliver superior customer service to all internal and external stakeholders, consistently looking for ways to strengthen and improve relationships.
- Communicate any significant concerns or issues to management along with possible resolutions.
- General office management responsibilities
- Work with regulatory boards and ensure that licensing is done annually.
- Assisting with projects for the region
- Manage any new direct report and be responsible for training them.
- Help with True Believer events - G Culture Events
- Consistently act as an example of the G Adventures' Core Values and culture
- Any ad hoc duties given by the Regional Manager
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 3 years demonstrated accounting experience with a good grasp of accounting methodologies and principles, account reconciliation practices and financial analysis required. Multi-Currency experience is desirable.
- Vocational/technical/business related studies in Finance/Accounting required.
- University degree in Finance/Accounting preferred.
- Advanced computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Strong English language skills - both written and verbal.
- Superior communication skills with a high standard of customer service.
- Ability to problem solve, prioritize and utilize time management in a fast paced, deadline driven environment.
- Strong attention to detail with a thorough, analytical and systematic approach.
- Flexible and cooperative approach with a positive and innovative attitude
