The Transactional Finance Manager will lead and manage the group transactional team to meet internal and external requirements, overseeing the billing, sales ledger, purchase ledger, credit control and daily banking.

Description

  • Assist the Group Financial Controller with the integration of transactional finance functions into a centralised support centre.
  • Assist the Group Financial Controller in implementing standard procedures and improving the internal control environment across Finance.
  • Day-to-day management of transactional banking relationships and the administration of the banking platform.
  • Manage the transactional month end process to ensure that deadlines are met with all applicable accounts being reconciled and signed off.
  • Preparation of the Groups weekly cash-flow forecast.
  • Overseeing the sales ledger function, ensuring accurate and timely raising of sales invoices, allocation of cash receipts and efficient credit control.
  • Monitor sales ledger KPI's and drive continuous improvement, particularly in debtors days.
  • Overseeing the purchase ledger function, ensuring all invoices and payment runs are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Improving the purchase ledger and staff expenses function by introducing new systems and reporting processes.
  • Oversee Petty Cash and Credit Card Reconciliations.
  • Ensuring all bank reconciliations are accurate and completed within given deadlines.
  • Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
  • Support the Group reporting accountant with inter-company reconciliations.
  • Support the Year End audit
  • Staying informed of changes in financial regulations and legislation

  • Experience of using Sage
  • A proven track record of managing and developing teams
  • Working knowledge of VAT
  • Positive enthusiastic approach with a can-do attitude
  • AAT Qualified (or similar)
  • Experience of managing a centralised function in a multi-site environment.
  • Good excel skills
  • Good communicator with strong interpersonal skill and emotional intelligence
  • Able to work autonomously and flexibly.
  • High level of accuracy and good attention to detail.
  • Experience of integration and systems development a plus
