The Financial Controller will be number 2 to the FD and play a vital role in the company's finance and business division.

Our client was first established in Northampton and is now established globally. Market leaders and Specialists in the manufacturing industry, they boast year on year growth. This newly created Financial Controller role is a result of the company's continued expansion.
Description
Proactively manage all financial aspects of the business
Prepare monthly management accounts and annual statutory accounts to identify results, trends and financial forecasts
Manage cash flow by tracking transactions and regularly reviewing internal reports / information and then circulate weekly cash flow forecast to Senior Management and Board
Supervise and manage financial department staff, including accountants and financial assistants
Motivate and lead finance team members by clearly defining roles, conducting appraisals, setting and reviewing objectives
Suggest updates and improvements for accounting systems including ERP development
Ensure that all financial transactions are properly recorded, filed and reported
Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulation and legislation
Liaise with auditors to ensure proper compliance with all regulations
Develop and prepare budgets and financial plans for the company
Review all financial plans and budgets regularly to look for cost reduction opportunities
Examine all financial reports and data closely to check for discrepancies
Create systems to prevent errors in data collection and calculations
Assist the COO/FD in presenting reports to senior managers, stakeholders and board member
Undertake ad hoc duties and provide support / cover to the Financial Director as and when required
Profile
- CIMA / ACCA Qualified
- Bachelor's degree or master's degree in accounting, business, economics, finance or related field
- Between 5-10 Years' experience of working within a Finance Department
- To be able to demonstrate strong management and leadership skills
- Proven track record for system development / ERP implementation & improvement
- Working knowledge of CODA Financials preferred
- Ability to prioritise & work under pressure
- Strong system, process and procedural skills
- Strong communication skills
- High attention to detail
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to motivate , direct and drive people
