Financial Accountant

This is an exciting time to join a reformed finance function following a recent re-structure. The role requires a technically astute individual to take the lead on all areas of Financial Accounting, managing a team of 2 and supporting the Financial Controller in the day to day running of the accounts function.

My client is a subsidiary of a large Internationally owned group. They have recently re-structured finance to centralise the function with the plan to expand going forwards. They are well established in their field and boast household names as their key customer base. This business can offer exciting growth plans for the successful candidate in a busy and fast paced environment.

Description

This role will require a sound technical understanding of reporting VAT and taxation and UK statutory requirements. You will be responsible for the management and development of a transactional team of 2 with oversight of their day to day work. You will be required to handle and manage large data sets and present the results back to board in a clear and concise way, giving you a great deal of Senior stakeholder level exposure.

Profile

In order to apply for this role, please ensure you meet the criteria below:

• ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualified
• Strong experience in VAT, tax, statutory accounting
• experienced in working in a fast paced environment, ideally manufacturing
• Strong communicator with advanced Excel skills
• Working knowledge of UK GAAP
